Meet our leaders

Cap City is full of INCREDIBLE people who make church life happen. We love Jesus, and we serve people … together! Here’s a snapshot of our senior leaders, Luke and Sophie Moreno.

Luke has been actively involved in church ministry for many years. Before joining the team at Cap City, he studied at the Wales Evangelical School of Theology (now Union School of Theology). He is passionate about discussing life’s big questions and seeing people transformed through encounters with Jesus.
Outside of church, Luke’s passions are coffee and doughnuts, running (because of the doughnuts), discussing philosophy and learning new things.
Luke is married to Sophie and they have four children.
Sophie is Cap City’s Kids and Youth coordinator. She also looks after the Church’s admin. Sophie loves spending time with friends and family and is passionate about helping kids develop and deepen their own faith, and making Church a welcoming place for all children.
